Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers focused on privilege and identity access management, driving innovation in secure solution delivery for JP Morgan Chase's global operations
• Serve as the primary decision-maker for technical architecture, ensuring scalable and compliant IAM/PAM systems that protect sensitive financial data and customer information
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including cybersecurity, compliance, and business units, to define and implement access control policies aligned with regulatory requirements
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of advanced authentication mechanisms, such as multi-factor authentication and zero-trust models, to mitigate risks in trading and banking platforms
• Manage project lifecycles from ideation to production, utilizing agile practices to deliver high-quality software that supports JP Morgan's digital transformation initiatives
• Conduct risk assessments and audits of access management systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and internal policies to prevent unauthorized access to financial assets
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by integrating emerging technologies like AI-driven threat detection into IAM solutions
• Provide strategic input on technology roadmaps, balancing security needs with business efficiency in a fast-paced financial services landscape
• Monitor team performance, set development goals, and champion diversity and inclusion within engineering teams at JP Morgan Chase

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in identity and access management (IAM) or privilege access management (PAM) systems
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams in a financial services environment, including regulatory compliance with standards like SOX, GDPR, and PCI-DSS
• Deep expertise in designing and implementing secure authentication, authorization, and access control solutions in large-scale enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, risk management, and secure coding practices in the financial sector
• Experience with agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact projects on time
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances and pass background checks required for handling sensitive financial data

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC in IAM/PAM
• Experience with cloud-based IAM solutions like Okta, SailPoint, or Azure AD in a hybrid financial services infrastructure
• Prior work at a major financial institution, with knowledge of Basel III or other banking regulations impacting access management
• MBA or equivalent business acumen to align technical strategies with organizational goals

Required Skills

• Expertise in IAM/PAM technologies such as CyberArk, BeyondCorp, or Ping Identity
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or Go for building secure applications
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for scalable IAM deployments
• Strong understanding of protocols like OAuth, SAML, LDAP, and Kerberos in financial security contexts
• Experience with database management (SQL/NoSQL) and API development for access control integrations
• Leadership and team management skills to guide diverse engineering groups
• Analytical problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting complex security incidents
• Communication skills for presenting technical strategies to non-technical executives
• Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for rapid software delivery
• Risk assessment and compliance knowledge specific to financial regulations
• Project management tools like Jira or Confluence for tracking engineering initiatives
• Familiarity with machine learning for anomaly detection in access patterns
