Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement capital policy strategies aligned with JP Morgan Chase's global standards and EMEA regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and interpret evolving capital regulations from bodies like the EBA, PRA, and ECB, advising senior management on impacts
  • Collaborate with Controller teams to ensure accurate calculation and reporting of regulatory capital ratios and metrics
  • Lead capital stress testing exercises and scenario analysis to support internal capital adequacy assessments
  • Prepare and review Pillar 3 disclosures and other regulatory filings for EMEA entities
  • Engage with external regulators and internal stakeholders to influence policy outcomes and resolve compliance issues
  • Support capital planning processes, including ICAAP and recovery planning for JP Morgan's EMEA operations
  • Analyze capital optimization opportunities to enhance efficiency while maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the Capital Policy function
  • Ensure integration of capital policies with risk management and finance functions across the firm

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, Master's in Finance) preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in capital policy, regulatory compliance, or financial reporting within the banking sector
  • Deep knowledge of EMEA regulatory frameworks, including CRD IV/CRR, Basel III/IV, and UK/EU capital requirements
  • Proven track record in a Controller or similar function at a global financial institution
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards as applied to capital management
  • Experience with capital stress testing and Pillar 3 disclosures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
  • Prior experience at a Tier 1 global bank like JP Morgan Chase
  • Familiarity with EBA guidelines and PRA supervisory expectations
  • Background in capital optimization and regulatory change management projects
  • Fluency in additional EMEA languages (e.g., French, German) for regional stakeholder engagement
