Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of banks and financial institutions in the CEEMEA region, including fundamental research and financial modeling
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to support equity research recommendations
  • Prepare research reports, market commentaries, and presentations for institutional clients and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic trends impacting CEEMEA financials
  • Collaborate with sales and trading teams to provide timely insights and support client queries
  • Attend industry conferences, company meetings, and roadshows to gather intelligence and build relationships
  • Contribute to the team's ranking efforts by delivering high-quality, differentiated research
  • Assist in mentoring junior analysts and ensuring compliance with JPMorgan's research standards
  • Support ad-hoc projects related to sector coverage and thematic research in emerging markets
  • Ensure all research outputs adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment banking, or financial analysis, preferably in the financials sector
  • Strong understanding of CEEMEA markets, including Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and equity research methodologies
  • Excellent command of English; additional languages such as Russian, Arabic, or those relevant to CEEMEA regions are advantageous
  • CFA Level 1 or higher certification, or progress towards it
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Economics
  • Prior experience covering financial institutions in emerging markets
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar financial data platforms
  • Published equity research reports or contributions to market analysis
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in CEEMEA banking sectors
