Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth equity research and analysis on companies in the Diversified Financials sector across EMEA
  • Build and maintain financial models, including DCF, multiples, and scenario analysis for valuation purposes
  • Prepare research reports, presentations, and market insights for institutional clients and internal teams
  • Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes impacting EMEA financial equities
  • Interact with company management, attend earnings calls, and participate in industry conferences
  • Collaborate with sales, trading, and other research teams to deliver actionable investment recommendations
  • Support senior analysts in generating sector coverage ideas and thematic research
  • Ensure compliance with JPMorgan's research policies and regulatory standards
  • Contribute to client meetings and roadshows to communicate research findings effectively

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred for Associate level
  • 2-5 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or financial analysis within the financial services sector
  • Strong understanding of EMEA markets and the Diversified Financials industry, including banks, insurance, and asset management firms
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and equity analysis
  • Excellent command of English; additional European languages (e.g., French, German) advantageous for EMEA focus
  • CFA Level 1 or higher certification or progress towards it

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience at a bulge-bracket investment bank or top-tier research firm
  • Knowledge of regulatory environments in EMEA financial markets (e.g., MiFID II, GDPR)
  • Experience covering Diversified Financials sub-sectors like fintech or alternative investments
  • Advanced Excel and financial database skills (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet)
