Key Responsibilities

  • Support the EMEA Rates Exotics trading desk by providing accurate daily P&L reporting and analysis
  • Perform month-end close procedures, including reconciliations of trading positions and financial controls
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls for rates derivatives products
  • Collaborate with front-office traders, middle-office risk teams, and finance stakeholders to validate financial data
  • Identify and investigate P&L attributions, variances, and anomalies in exotic rates instruments
  • Develop and maintain product control methodologies for new rates exotics trades
  • Contribute to the enhancement of reporting tools and processes using Excel, VBA, or Python
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects related to product launches or regulatory changes in the EMEA region
  • Monitor trading activity for accuracy and provide insights to improve desk profitability

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product control, financial reporting, or a similar role within investment banking
  • Strong understanding of derivatives, particularly rates exotics products such as swaptions, caps/floors, and exotic interest rate options
  • Proficiency in financial regulations and accounting standards relevant to EMEA markets, including IFRS and MiFID II
  • Experience with month-end close processes and P&L reconciliation in a trading environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in Finance or Quantitative Finance
  • Prior experience at a major investment bank like JP Morgan Chase in rates trading support
  • Knowledge of risk management systems and tools used in rates derivatives
  • Fluency in additional EMEA languages such as French or German
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA
