Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily and monthly product control processes for EMEA Rates Exotics, including P&L validation, independent price verification, and trade booking reconciliation
  • Drive strategic initiatives to enhance control frameworks, automate reporting, and improve operational efficiency within the Rates product line
  • Collaborate with front office trading desks, risk management, and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and risk attribution
  • Identify and mitigate control risks, including model validation for exotic derivatives and stress testing scenarios
  • Oversee regulatory reporting obligations under EMIR and other EMEA-specific frameworks, ensuring compliance and timely submissions
  • Mentor and develop a team of product controllers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Analyze complex rates structures and exotics to support business decisions and profitability assessments
  • Implement new product controls for evolving market conditions, such as interest rate volatility and ESG-linked derivatives
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and investigations into P&L discrepancies or control breaches

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product control, financial reporting, or risk management within investment banking
  • Deep knowledge of rates derivatives, exotics, and structured products in the EMEA markets
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA
  • Proven track record in leading teams and managing complex financial control processes
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements including IFRS, Basel III, and EMIR
  • Experience with financial systems and data analytics tools in a high-volume trading environment
