Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily profit and loss (P&L) reconciliations for the equities trading desk to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Analyze trading book variances and provide detailed explanations to senior management
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including financial statement preparation
  • Collaborate with front-office traders and middle-office teams to validate trade bookings and pricing data
  • Monitor and report on key risk metrics for equities products, identifying potential exposures
  • Assist in regulatory filings and audits related to equities activities
  • Develop and maintain control procedures to mitigate operational risks in the equities portfolio
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support for strategic initiatives within the equities business
  • Ensure adherence to JP Morgan Chase's internal policies and global accounting standards
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements in product control

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product control, financial reporting, or a similar role within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of equities products including stocks, derivatives, and exchange-traded funds
  • Proficiency in financial reconciliation processes and regulatory reporting requirements
  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification
  • Experience with large-scale financial data analysis and variance reporting
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA) in Finance or Accounting
  • Prior experience at a major investment bank like JP Morgan Chase
