Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of enterprise software companies, including financial modeling and valuation

  • Prepare equity research reports, initiations, updates, and recommendations for institutional clients
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscapes, and macroeconomic factors impacting the software sector
  • Interact with company management teams through meetings, conference calls, and site visits
  • Collaborate with sales and trading teams to provide insights and support client queries
  • Contribute to the production of sector-themed research notes and presentations
  • Attend industry conferences and stay abreast of regulatory changes in financial markets
  • Assist in mentoring junior analysts and ensuring high-quality research output
  • Support the broader equities research team in ad-hoc projects and coverage expansion

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or a related financial services role
  • Strong understanding of the enterprise software sector, including SaaS, cloud computing, and enterprise applications
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and equity analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and market trends
  • Series 7 and 86/87 licenses or willingness to obtain them
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment in New York, NY

  • Prior experience covering technology or software stocks at a bulge-bracket bank or research firm
  • Advanced knowledge of Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar financial databases
  • CFA charterholder or candidate in progress
