Executive Director, AI & Data Policy, APAC Region

Location: Singapore

Job Family: Government Relations

About the Role

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is a leading global financial services firm with assets of $3.7 trillion and operations worldwide. We operate in more than 60 countries, creating landmark projects that define industries and positively impact millions of lives. In the APAC region, we are committed to driving innovation in AI and data technologies while navigating a complex regulatory landscape. As Executive Director, AI & Data Policy, APAC Region, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our policy agenda to support sustainable growth in financial services. Based in our Singapore office, this position reports to the Head of Government Relations for APAC and collaborates closely with global policy and technology leaders. In this strategic leadership role, you will spearhead the development and execution of AI and data policy strategies tailored to the diverse APAC markets, from Singapore's fintech hub to China's data localization requirements. Your responsibilities will include advocating for policies that enable responsible AI deployment in areas like risk management, fraud detection, and personalized banking, while mitigating risks from stringent data privacy laws. You will engage proactively with regulators such as the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), engage in bilateral discussions, and represent JPMorgan at key forums like the ASEAN Financial Innovation Network. Internally, you will partner with our AI Center of Excellence and Compliance teams to ensure our initiatives align with both local and global standards, fostering an environment where innovation thrives within ethical boundaries. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, high-stakes environment, leveraging deep expertise in technology policy to influence outcomes that benefit JPMorgan and the broader financial ecosystem. You will lead a team of policy specialists, mentor junior staff, and contribute to firm-wide thought leadership on emerging issues like AI bias in lending algorithms and cross-border data flows. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on how AI transforms finance in APAC, while advancing your career at one of the world's most admired companies. If you are passionate about the intersection of technology, policy, and finance, join us in building the future of responsible innovation.
