Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute risk strategies for card acquisitions targeting affluent portfolios, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk appetite
  • Lead the analysis of acquisition risk models, including application scoring, underwriting policies, and portfolio performance monitoring
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, and compliance to optimize acquisition processes while mitigating credit risk
  • Monitor and report on key risk metrics for affluent segments, providing insights to senior leadership at JP Morgan Chase
  • Drive initiatives to enhance fraud detection and prevention in high-value card applications
  • Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing for affluent acquisitions to ensure resilience against economic downturns
  • Partner with technology teams to implement advanced analytics and AI-driven risk tools
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including periodic audits and policy updates
  • Mentor junior risk analysts and contribute to talent development within the Credit Risk organization

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or Master's) preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in credit risk management, particularly in consumer lending or credit card acquisitions
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing risk strategies for high-net-worth or affluent customer segments
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements including FCRA, ECOA, and Basel III in the financial services industry
  • Experience with data analytics and modeling in a banking environment, with proficiency in tools like SAS or SQL
  • Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams in a large financial institution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in credit risk (e.g., FRM or CFA)
