Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Corporate Tax Transfer Pricing team, overseeing documentation, planning, and compliance for JP Morgan Chase's global operations
  • Develop and implement transfer pricing strategies to optimize tax efficiency while mitigating risks in cross-border transactions
  • Conduct economic analyses and benchmarking studies for intercompany pricing of financial services, including loans, derivatives, and advisory fees
  • Collaborate with business units, such as Corporate & Investment Bank and Consumer & Community Banking, to align transfer pricing with commercial objectives
  • Manage relationships with external advisors, tax authorities, and prepare for audits and examinations
  • Ensure timely preparation of transfer pricing documentation and Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) in compliance with BEPS initiatives
  • Provide strategic advice on tax implications of new business initiatives, mergers, and restructurings
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence in tax risk management
  • Monitor evolving global tax regulations and assess their impact on JP Morgan Chase's transfer pricing policies
  • Drive process improvements and leverage technology to enhance transfer pricing efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field; advanced degree (Master's or JD) preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in transfer pricing within the financial services industry
  • Deep knowledge of OECD guidelines, U.S. tax regulations (e.g., IRC Section 482), and international tax principles
  • Proven leadership experience managing tax teams in a large multinational corporation
  • CPA, EA, or equivalent professional certification
  • Strong understanding of financial products, derivatives, and banking operations for accurate pricing analysis
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and ensure compliance with global tax authorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at a Big Four firm or similar consulting role in transfer pricing
  • MBA with a focus on finance or international business
  • Familiarity with JP Morgan Chase's business lines, such as investment banking and asset management
