The External Reporting - Vice President role within the Controller organization is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial disclosures for our Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) division. Based in our state-of-the-art Bengaluru office, this position involves overseeing the end-to-end process of preparing and submitting financial reports to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other key regulators, such as the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). As a Vice President, you will play a critical role in maintaining JP Morgan Chase's reputation for transparent and compliant financial reporting in a dynamic regulatory landscape. In this role, you will lead a team of skilled professionals responsible for the quarterly and annual close processes, including the compilation of consolidated financial statements, earnings releases, and regulatory filings like Form 10-K and 10-Q. You will ensure adherence to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, while identifying opportunities to streamline reporting workflows using advanced financial technologies. Collaboration is key; you will partner with CCB business leaders, internal audit, and external advisors to assess emerging risks, such as those related to consumer lending products or economic fluctuations, and incorporate them into disclosures. This position demands a proactive approach to regulatory changes, ensuring JP Morgan Chase remains ahead of compliance obligations in the fast-paced financial services industry.
