As a Vice President, you will play a critical role in maintaining JP Morgan Chase's reputation for transparent and compliant financial reporting in a dynamic regulatory landscape. In this role, you will lead a team of skilled professionals responsible for the quarterly and annual close processes, including the compilation of consolidated financial statements, earnings releases, and regulatory filings like Form 10-K and 10-Q. You will ensure adherence to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, while identifying opportunities to streamline reporting workflows using advanced financial technologies. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and filing of SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and other regulatory submissions for Consumer and Community Banking
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements, including coordination with external auditors
  • Lead the financial close process, including consolidation, analysis, and review of financial statements
  • Manage SOX compliance activities, including control testing and remediation for external reporting
  • Collaborate with business units, legal, and risk teams to assess and disclose financial impacts
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy
  • Mentor and develop a team of reporting professionals in Bengaluru, fostering a culture of excellence
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise senior management on implications for reporting
  • Support ad-hoc reporting needs and special projects related to financial transparency
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication of financial results to internal and external stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent certification required
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in a banking or financial services environment
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and regulatory filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
  • Proven experience in overseeing external financial reporting processes for consumer banking or similar divisions
  • Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal controls over financial reporting
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with global stakeholders in a matrixed organization
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in financial systems and data analysis tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance/Accounting)
  • Experience working with JP Morgan Chase or a major global bank in external reporting roles
  • Familiarity with consumer and community banking regulations from US regulators like the OCC and FDIC
