Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and validate daily, weekly, and monthly P&L reports for assigned trading desks to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies in partnership with trading teams
  • Support month-end close activities, including accruals, valuations, and financial statement preparation
  • Collaborate with front-office traders and middle-office teams to understand trade economics and risk exposures
  • Analyze variances in P&L and provide insightful commentary for senior management reviews
  • Assist in the implementation of new financial controls and processes to enhance operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements in the financial services sector
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects, such as system enhancements or product launches, on a part-time basis
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics to support strategic decision-making at JP Morgan Chase

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial controlling, product control, or a similar role within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L reporting, and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis using Excel or similar tools
  • Experience with month-end close processes in a trading or investment banking environment
  • Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus for the Buenos Aires location
  • Ability to work part-time hours, typically 20-25 hours per week, with flexibility for peak periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance) or professional certification (CPA, CFA, or ACCA)
