Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review regulatory financial statements for JP Morgan Chase's legal entities in Mexico
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements from CNBV and other Mexican authorities
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for entity-level accounting
  • Analyze variances in financial reports and provide insights to senior management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Risk, and Operations to resolve accounting issues
  • Maintain accurate records of intercompany transactions and consolidations
  • Assist in audits and respond to regulatory inquiries on behalf of the Legal Entity Controller
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency
  • Monitor changes in regulatory landscape and update internal policies accordingly
  • Contribute to the preparation of management reports for JP Morgan's global finance teams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial regulatory reporting or accounting within the financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican financial regulations and IFRS accounting standards
  • Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Experience with legal entity controlling and consolidation processes
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance) from an accredited institution
  • Prior experience working in a multinational bank like JP Morgan Chase
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and its reconciliation to local standards
  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) and Basel III regulations
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for financial reporting
