Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial reporting, capital adequacy, and liquidity for the JP Morgan Chase Chile Branch legal entity
  • Ensure compliance with local Chilean regulations and international standards, including IFRS and Basel requirements
  • Maintain a robust control environment by identifying and mitigating financial risks
  • Prepare and submit accurate regulatory reports to authorities such as the Comisión para el Mercado Financiero (CMF)
  • Collaborate with global teams to align entity-level controls with JP Morgan's enterprise-wide policies
  • Conduct periodic reviews of financial statements and internal controls for accuracy and completeness
  • Support audit processes, both internal and external, providing necessary documentation and explanations
  • Monitor and analyze key financial metrics to ensure capital and liquidity adequacy
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and compliance
  • Liaise with senior management to provide insights on entity financial health and regulatory matters

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial regulatory reporting, accounting, or controllership within the banking or financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local Chilean regulatory requirements
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent
  • Experience in legal entity controllership, capital adequacy, and liquidity management
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance/Accounting)
  • Experience working in a multinational bank like JP Morgan Chase
  • Familiarity with Basel III regulations and liquidity coverage ratios (LCR)
