Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the Controller function
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial records in accordance with JP Morgan Chase's policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with business units to forecast budgets, monitor variances, and provide financial insights
  • Conduct internal audits and support external audits to maintain robust financial controls
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
  • Manage reconciliations of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
  • Support strategic financial planning and decision-making for senior leadership
  • Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to identify risks and opportunities
  • Liaise with global teams in Mumbai and other JP Morgan locations for consolidated reporting

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or financial analysis within the financial services industry
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA is required
  • Strong proficiency in financial reporting standards including IFRS and GAAP
  • Experience with financial systems like SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree such as MBA in Finance
  • Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the banking sector, including Basel III
  • Experience in risk management or internal controls
