Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial control processes, including reconciliation of accounts and variance analysis for business units in Mumbai
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with JP Morgan's global standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements from RBI, SEC, and internal JP Morgan policies
• Identify and mitigate financial risks through robust control frameworks and process improvements
• Conduct audits and reviews of financial transactions to maintain accuracy and integrity
• Support management reporting and provide insights for strategic decision-making in the financial services sector
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of financial control best practices
• Liaise with global finance teams to align local operations with JP Morgan's enterprise-wide initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent certification required
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or audit within the financial services industry
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory reporting standards applicable to banking
• Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting tools
• Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms
• Ability to handle complex financial data analysis and ensure compliance with internal controls

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance) from a recognized institution
• Prior experience at a global financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks in investment banking
• Certification in financial risk management (e.g., FRM) or internal auditing (CIA)
