Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting and financial reporting for JP Morgan Chase's global real estate portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and US GAAP
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes for real estate entities, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
  • Conduct variance analysis on real estate budgets, forecasts, and actuals, providing insights to senior management
  • Collaborate with global teams to support real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and lease negotiations
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX compliance, and regulatory requirements for real estate accounting
  • Develop and maintain financial models for real estate assets, including depreciation, impairment testing, and capitalization policies
  • Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and risks
  • Lead process improvements in real estate accounting operations to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, with at least 2 years in real estate or property accounting within a large financial institution
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP, particularly as applied to real estate transactions and leases
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis for global operations
