Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud infrastructure to support JP Morgan Chase's FinOps initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with finance, engineering, and product teams to develop and enforce cloud cost management strategies that reduce expenses while maintaining high availability and performance
• Oversee the migration and modernization of legacy infrastructure to cloud-native architectures, focusing on scalability and security in a financial services context
• Conduct regular audits and forecasting of cloud spend, utilizing tools like AWS Cost Explorer or Azure Cost Management to identify savings opportunities
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and best practices in FinOps within the Infrastructure Engineering team
• Integrate FinOps principles into CI/CD pipelines to enable automated cost governance and tagging for compliance
• Drive cross-domain projects spanning networking, security, and data management to resolve complex infrastructure challenges
• Report on key metrics such as ROI on cloud investments and efficiency gains to senior stakeholders
• Ensure all infrastructure solutions adhere to JP Morgan Chase's risk management frameworks and industry standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least 5 years focused on cloud environments
• Proven expertise in FinOps practices, including cloud cost optimization and financial management in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong understanding of financial services regulations such as GDPR, SOX, and PCI-DSS compliance
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in large-scale infrastructure projects within a banking or fintech environment
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, FinOps Certified Practitioner, or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive cost efficiencies in cloud infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in a technology or finance-related discipline
• Experience with JP Morgan Chase's internal tools and platforms, such as proprietary cloud management systems
• Background in agile methodologies and DevOps practices tailored to financial services
