Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and promotion of frontend engineering practices using TypeScript, JavaScript, and React within JP Morgan Chase's technology stack
• Design and implement robust deployment strategies to ensure seamless releases of frontend applications supporting financial services
• Mentor and guide a team of senior software engineers, fostering best practices in software development processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, product managers, and compliance experts, to deliver high-quality user experiences for banking and investment platforms
• Architect scalable, performant frontend solutions that handle high-volume financial data and real-time transactions
• Establish and refine software development lifecycle processes, including code reviews, testing frameworks, and agile methodologies tailored to the financial sector
• Drive innovation in UI/UX for secure, accessible applications compliant with regulatory requirements
• Monitor and optimize application performance, ensuring reliability in a 24/7 global financial environment
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, such as migrating legacy systems to modern React-based architectures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on frontend development
• Proven leadership experience in guiding senior engineering teams
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, including modern ES6+ features
• Extensive experience building scalable web applications using React.js
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement deployment strategies in cloud environments
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries, with knowledge of compliance standards like GDPR and PCI-DSS

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience with financial trading platforms or banking applications
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Previous work at a large-scale financial institution
• Certifications in AWS, Azure, or React ecosystem

• Expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript
