Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain fullstack applications using AWS cloud infrastructure to support JP Morgan Chase's financial products and services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and compliance officers to deliver secure, scalable solutions for banking and investment platforms
• Implement and optimize backend services, ensuring high availability and performance in handling high-volume financial transactions
• Build intuitive frontend interfaces that integrate seamlessly with backend APIs, enhancing user experience for clients and internal stakeholders
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to maintain code quality and adhere to security best practices in a regulated environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production systems, minimizing downtime for critical financial operations
• Stay abreast of emerging AWS technologies and financial industry trends to recommend improvements in system architecture
• Contribute to the documentation of software designs, APIs, and deployment processes for knowledge sharing within the team
• Participate in agile sprints, providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers on best practices
• Ensure all developments comply with JP Morgan Chase's risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with fullstack development
• Proficiency in AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
• Strong experience with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js and backend frameworks like Node.js, Java, or Python
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, secure applications in a financial services environment
• Experience with database management systems (SQL and NoSQL) and API development (RESTful and GraphQL)
• Understanding of financial regulations such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and SOX compliance

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer certification
• Experience in agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Prior work in the financial services industry, particularly with payment systems or risk management
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
