Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of fund accountants responsible for the accurate and timely calculation of Net Asset Values (NAV) for wholesale emerging markets funds
  • Oversee daily reconciliation of fund positions, cash flows, and trade settlements to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
  • Manage the preparation and review of financial statements, investor reports, and regulatory filings for WHEM portfolios
  • Drive process enhancements and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce errors in fund accounting workflows
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including portfolio managers, custodians, and compliance teams, to resolve discrepancies and support fund launches
  • Mentor and develop team members, conducting performance reviews and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the Fund Services organization
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks in fund accounting
  • Ensure adherence to JP Morgan Chase's policies on data integrity, confidentiality, and anti-money laundering (AML) in all fund operations
  • Coordinate with global teams to handle complex fund structures, including derivatives, leverage, and multi-currency exposures in emerging markets

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in fund accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles, including NAV calculations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance for alternative investments
  • Proficiency in accounting software and systems such as Geneva, Aladdin, or similar platforms used in asset management
  • Experience managing teams in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment, particularly in wholesale emerging markets (WHEM) fund operations
  • Understanding of international financial regulations, including IFRS, GAAP, and SEC requirements for fund services
