Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of conflicts of interest for global investment banking transactions at JP Morgan Chase
  • Collaborate with deal teams, legal, and compliance to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards
  • Review and approve complex deals, providing expert guidance on potential conflicts in mergers, acquisitions, and capital markets activities
  • Develop and implement conflicts management strategies to support JP Morgan's commitment to ethical banking practices
  • Conduct due diligence on client relationships and transaction structures to preempt conflicts
  • Monitor ongoing transactions for emerging conflicts and recommend resolution measures
  • Train and mentor junior staff on conflicts protocols within the Investment Banking division
  • Contribute to policy updates in response to evolving regulatory landscapes
  • Liaise with senior management to escalate high-risk conflicts and ensure firm-wide alignment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field; JD or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in conflicts management, legal advisory, or compliance within investment banking or financial services
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements including SEC, FINRA, and global conflicts of interest guidelines
  • Proven track record in managing high-stakes transactions and identifying potential conflicts in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex financial structures and their implications
  • Experience working in a global financial institution, preferably with exposure to cross-border deals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree such as JD or MBA from a top-tier institution
  • Prior experience at a bulge-bracket investment bank like JP Morgan Chase
