Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations for the Treasury/Chief Investment Office, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal controls
  • Manage the preparation and review of financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analyses related to structural risk management
  • Collaborate with global teams to support regulatory reporting and audit requirements for JP Morgan Chase's investment portfolios
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks
  • Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals for treasury activities
  • Monitor and analyze key financial metrics to support the Firm's core mandate of managing structural risk
  • Provide advisory support to senior leadership on accounting implications of investment strategies
  • Ensure accurate valuation and reporting of complex financial instruments
  • Coordinate with internal audit and external regulators to facilitate smooth examinations
  • Drive process improvements and automation in accounting workflows to enhance efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting or controllership roles within a large financial institution
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements for banks
  • Proven track record in managing accounting processes for treasury or investment operations
  • Experience with financial systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Ability to handle complex financial data and ensure accuracy in high-volume environments
