Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Japan-based subsidiaries of non-Japanese multinational corporations, identifying opportunities to provide tailored banking solutions
  • Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of credit facilities, including loans, trade finance, and working capital solutions
  • Collaborate with JPMorgan Chase's global network to deliver integrated cross-border banking services, ensuring seamless support for clients' international operations
  • Conduct financial analysis, risk assessments, and due diligence on client portfolios to support lending decisions and portfolio management
  • Drive business development initiatives, including pitching JPMorgan's full suite of corporate banking products such as cash management, foreign exchange, and derivatives
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes in Japan, and client performance to proactively advise on risk mitigation and growth strategies
  • Work closely with internal teams including credit risk, compliance, and product specialists to ensure all transactions adhere to JPMorgan's standards and Japanese regulations
  • Prepare and present client proposals, credit memos, and performance reports to senior management and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the growth of JPMorgan's Subsidiary Banking franchise in Japan by expanding client base and deepening wallet share

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in corporate banking, subsidiary banking, or relationship management within the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in managing relationships with multinational corporations and their Japan-based subsidiaries
  • Strong understanding of Japanese financial markets, regulatory environment, and cross-border banking practices
  • Fluency in English and Japanese (business level proficiency in both speaking and writing)
  • Relevant certifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent banking qualifications
