Key Responsibilities

• Support senior bankers in originating and executing financing solutions for FIG clients, including loans, capital markets advisory, and structured products
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and modeling for banks, insurers, and other financial institutions to assess creditworthiness and deal viability
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the Tokyo financial community, including regulators, clients, and industry peers
• Prepare pitch books, client presentations, and market updates tailored to FIG sector trends in Japan and Asia-Pacific
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, legal, and compliance, to ensure seamless deal execution
• Monitor market developments in FIG sectors, providing insights on regulatory changes, M&A opportunities, and economic impacts
• Assist in portfolio management for existing FIG clients, including performance reviews and renewal of financing facilities
• Contribute to business development initiatives, such as identifying new client opportunities in the Japanese financial services landscape
• Ensure adherence to JP Morgan Chase's risk and compliance standards in all client interactions and transactions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial services, particularly in corporate banking or FIG sectors
• Strong understanding of financial institutions group (FIG) markets, including banks, insurance companies, and asset managers
• Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and credit analysis
• Fluency in English and Japanese (business level), with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment with a focus on Asia-Pacific markets
• Relevant certifications such as CFA Level 1 or equivalent are highly desirable

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Tokyo or Asia-Pacific financial markets, especially with Japanese financial institutions
• Prior internship or role at a bulge-bracket investment bank or global financial institution
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in Japan (e.g., FSA regulations) and cross-border financing
• Advanced degree (MBA) or specialized training in FIG banking
• Demonstrated track record in deal execution or client relationship management in corporate banking
