Your primary focus will be on building and nurturing relationships with C-suite executives at major banks, identifying opportunities for syndicated loans, debt capital markets issuances, and strategic advisory services. You will lead deal teams in executing complex transactions, leveraging JPMorgan's vast resources to deliver value-added solutions that address clients' unique challenges in a highly regulated landscape. This role demands a deep understanding of banking sector dynamics, including liquidity management, capital optimization, and emerging risks such as fintech disruptions and geopolitical influences. In addition to client-facing responsibilities, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across risk, treasury services, and investment banking to ensure seamless execution and compliance. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior executives at global banks and financial institutions to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Lead the origination, negotiation, and execution of credit facilities, capital markets transactions, and advisory services tailored to banking clients
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, credit risk assessments, and due diligence for potential deals within the Financial Institutions Group
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including risk management, legal, and product specialists to structure innovative financing solutions
  • Monitor portfolio performance, manage client portfolios, and provide strategic advice on market trends and regulatory changes
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials, pitch books, and client presentations to win mandates
  • Mentor and guide Associates and Analysts in the Banks coverage team, fostering professional development
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, competitive landscapes, and macroeconomic factors impacting financial institutions
  • Support senior management in strategic initiatives and business development efforts for the Global Corporate Banking division
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards in all client interactions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in corporate banking, financial institutions coverage, or investment banking with a focus on banks and financial services
  • Proven track record in originating, structuring, and executing complex financing transactions for financial institutions
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environments, including Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and international banking standards
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and credit analysis
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses or equivalent required
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and deal execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at a bulge-bracket bank or leading financial institution
  • Deep knowledge of global markets and cross-border banking transactions
  • Prior leadership experience managing junior bankers or teams
