In this senior position, you will play a key role in originating and executing high-value transactions for a diverse portfolio of financial institution clients. Reporting to the Head of FIG Asia-Pacific, you will leverage your extensive industry network to identify opportunities, structure bespoke solutions such as syndicated loans, trade finance facilities, and capital market access, while ensuring alignment with JP Morgan's risk and compliance frameworks. You will collaborate closely with global product teams, including Debt Capital Markets and Treasury Services, to deliver integrated offerings that enhance client value. Additionally, you will contribute to thought leadership by analyzing trends in sustainable finance and fintech disruptions, positioning JP Morgan as a trusted partner in the region's financial ecosystem. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of financing solutions for financial institution clients, including loans, trade finance, and capital raising
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key decision-makers in banks, insurers, and asset managers across Asia-Pacific
  • Drive business development initiatives to expand JP Morgan Chase's FIG franchise in Hong Kong and Greater China
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including coverage, product specialists, and risk management, to deliver tailored advisory services
  • Provide strategic insights on market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics in the financial services sector
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture within the GCB FIG team
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and risk appetite in all client engagements
  • Contribute to the strategic expansion of the GCB FIG platform by identifying new opportunities in emerging markets
  • Prepare and present pitch materials, credit proposals, and deal documentation to senior management and clients
  • Monitor portfolio performance and support ongoing client coverage to maximize revenue and client satisfaction

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in corporate banking, with a focus on Financial Institutions Group (FIG) covering banks, insurance companies, and asset managers
  • Proven track record in originating and executing complex financing transactions for financial institutions in the Asia-Pacific region
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory environments in Hong Kong and Greater China, including HKMA and SFC requirements
  • Strong network within the financial services sector, particularly with regional banks and international financial institutions
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin/Cantonese, with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel regionally as needed for client meetings and deal execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at a bulge-bracket investment bank or global financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
  • Prior leadership role in FIG teams, managing junior bankers and driving business development
