Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients in the innovation economy, including tech startups, fintech firms, and scale-ups in Hong Kong and APAC
  • Structure and execute debt financing solutions such as venture loans, working capital facilities, and acquisition financing tailored to high-growth companies
  • Lead credit analysis, due diligence, and risk assessment for innovative borrowers, ensuring alignment with JP Morgan's risk appetite
  • Collaborate with internal teams including investment banking, treasury services, and capital markets to deliver integrated solutions
  • Identify new business opportunities by monitoring market trends in AI, blockchain, biotech, and other emerging technologies
  • Prepare pitch materials, financial models, and proposals to win mandates for debt advisory and execution
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the team's strategy for expanding in the innovation economy
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in all client interactions
  • Track portfolio performance and provide ongoing support to clients post-transaction

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in corporate banking, debt financing, or structured finance within the innovation economy sector
  • Proven track record in originating and executing debt solutions for technology, fintech, or high-growth innovative companies
  • Strong understanding of global financial markets, regulatory environments, and credit risk assessment in Asia-Pacific
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin/Cantonese, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Relevant certifications such as CFA, CPA, or FRM
