Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, and special situations to identify trading opportunities in EMEA markets
  • Conduct credit research and due diligence on issuers and counterparties to support trading decisions
  • Monitor market trends, liquidity, and pricing in the syndicated loan and leveraged finance space
  • Collaborate with syndicate teams to structure and execute loan syndications and secondary trades
  • Develop and maintain trading models, risk assessments, and scenario analyses for portfolio management
  • Interact with clients, including institutional investors and corporates, to provide market insights and execute trades
  • Support senior traders in hedging strategies and managing credit risk exposures
  • Prepare reports and presentations on market conditions and trading performance for internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with JPMorgan Chase's risk management policies and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to desk initiatives for process improvements and technology enhancements in trading workflows

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in leveraged finance, credit trading, or investment banking
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, particularly EMEA leveraged finance and loan syndication
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques for loans and distressed assets
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are advantageous

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance or related field
  • Prior experience at a bulge-bracket investment bank or trading firm
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in EMEA credit markets (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR)
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or similar financial data platforms
  • CFA Level 1 or higher certification
