Key Responsibilities

  • Support the EMEA Leveraged Finance Trading desk by executing trades, monitoring positions, and managing trade lifecycle from initiation to settlement
  • Assist in pricing, hedging, and risk assessment for leveraged loans and high-yield securities in coordination with traders and syndicate teams
  • Collaborate with client coverage teams to provide market insights and facilitate deal syndication in the EMEA region
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and market best practices in all trading activities
  • Prepare daily reports, market updates, and analytics on credit trading performance for senior management
  • Liaise with operations, middle office, and legal teams to resolve trade discrepancies and operational issues
  • Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities in leveraged finance markets and supporting client pitches
  • Monitor market trends, credit events, and macroeconomic factors impacting EMEA leveraged finance
  • Assist in training junior staff and maintaining desk documentation for audit and regulatory purposes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in trading support, financial markets, or leveraged finance within investment banking
  • Strong understanding of EMEA credit markets, including leveraged loans and high-yield bonds
  • Proficiency in trade execution, risk management, and regulatory compliance in a trading environment
  • Relevant certifications such as CFA, FRM, or Series 7 equivalent for financial trading
  • Experience working in a fast-paced trading desk, preferably in a global financial institution
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are advantageous for EMEA operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance) from a top-tier institution
  • Prior experience at a bulge-bracket bank like JP Morgan Chase in syndicated loans or credit trading
