Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee multiple technical areas within the Global General Ledger platform, ensuring alignment with JP Morgan Chase's strategic financial objectives
• Manage the activities of multiple engineering departments, including resource allocation, performance management, and career development for 100+ team members
• Collaborate across technical domains such as data engineering, cybersecurity, and infrastructure to deliver scalable, secure ledger solutions
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of software enhancements for real-time general ledger processing and reporting
• Drive innovation in financial systems, incorporating AI-driven automation for reconciliation, auditing, and compliance reporting
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal controls, mitigating risks in high-stakes financial transactions
• Partner with global finance leaders to translate business requirements into robust technical roadmaps and architectures
• Oversee budget management, vendor relationships, and technology investments for ledger-related initiatives
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, agile practices, and knowledge sharing within engineering teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering leadership within the financial services industry
• Proven track record of directing multiple technical teams and managing cross-functional departments in large-scale enterprise environments
• Deep expertise in general ledger systems, financial accounting principles, and regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, IFRS, GAAP)
• Experience leading software development for mission-critical financial applications, including cloud migration and modernization projects
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and enterprise architecture in a global banking context
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders across technology, finance, and risk management domains

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as PMP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or CFA
• Prior leadership role in a top-tier financial institution, ideally with experience at JP Morgan Chase or similar
• Hands-on experience with financial data platforms like SAP, Oracle Financials, or custom ledger solutions
• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI/ML for financial reconciliation and blockchain for ledger integrity
