Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling for sponsor-backed deals involving Korean and Chinese clients
  • Support the preparation of pitch books, teasers, and marketing materials for financial sponsors
  • Assist in executing M&A transactions, including due diligence and deal structuring
  • Build and maintain relationships with Korean and Chinese private equity firms and financial sponsors
  • Perform market research on industry trends in Asia-Pacific financial services
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for deal execution and client communications
  • Prepare internal reports and presentations for senior management
  • Monitor regulatory changes impacting sponsor investments in Hong Kong and Greater China
  • Support live deals by analyzing financial statements and projecting cash flows

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field from a top-tier university
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, financial analysis, or a related field
  • Fluency in English and Korean (native or near-native proficiency required)
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (native or near-native proficiency required)
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, particularly in Asia-Pacific regions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with extended hours
  • Eligibility to work in Hong Kong without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or experience in investment banking, private equity, or financial sponsors coverage
  • Knowledge of Korean and Chinese financial regulations and market dynamics
  • CFA Level 1 or equivalent certification in progress
  • Experience with financial modeling and valuation in cross-border transactions
