Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Global Markets Control Management team in identifying and mitigating operational risks across trading, sales, and structuring activities
  • Conduct business analysis to assess control effectiveness and recommend improvements for market-facing processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front office, middle office, and compliance, to implement control enhancements
  • Develop and maintain documentation for control procedures, including process flows and risk assessments
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and escalate issues related to market controls in line with JP Morgan Chase policies
  • Assist in regulatory reporting and audit support for Global Markets activities in Latin America and globally
  • Participate in project initiatives to streamline control management workflows and integrate new technologies
  • Analyze data from trading systems to identify control gaps and support remediation efforts
  • Contribute to training programs on control management best practices for the Markets Project Team
  • Ensure adherence to JP Morgan Chase's firmwide risk and control standards in all project deliverables

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial services, risk management, or control functions within global markets
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting in a banking environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial modeling and data manipulation
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in global markets, such as Basel III or Dodd-Frank
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment typical of JP Morgan Chase's Global Markets division

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's) in Finance or Risk Management
