In this analyst role, you will handle the day-to-day maintenance of the general ledger for real estate activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and international standards. You will collaborate with real estate operations, treasury, and external auditors to deliver timely and precise financial insights that drive decision-making for property acquisitions, developments, and ongoing management. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger for global real estate portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance with JPMorgan Chase policies
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for real estate projects
  • Manage lease accounting processes in accordance with ASC 842 and other relevant standards
  • Conduct variance analysis on real estate expenses and capital expenditures to identify discrepancies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including treasury and operations, to support real estate financial planning
  • Assist in audits and ensure timely resolution of findings related to real estate accounting
  • Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks in global real estate activities
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for real estate initiatives within the Corporate Controller organization
  • Monitor fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules and capitalization of real estate improvements
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to senior management on real estate performance metrics

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in real estate or financial services
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Experience with real estate accounting processes, including lease accounting and fixed assets
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting
  • CPA certification or equivalent professional qualification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred)
