Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of public companies, industries, and macroeconomic trends to develop insightful equity research reports
  • Build, maintain, and update sophisticated financial models to forecast earnings, valuations, and investment recommendations
  • Generate high-quality research products including sector notes, stock initiations, and thematic reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor key market developments, earnings announcements, and regulatory changes impacting covered equities
  • Collaborate with sales, trading, and institutional client teams to service key stakeholders and provide timely research insights
  • Present research findings to senior management and clients, ensuring alignment with J.P. Morgan's global research standards
  • Contribute to the production of multimedia content, such as podcasts or webinars, to enhance research dissemination
  • Stay abreast of global equity market dynamics, with a focus on Asia-Pacific and emerging markets
  • Support ad-hoc projects, including M&A analysis and special situations research
  • Ensure all research outputs comply with J.P. Morgan's ethical standards and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized university
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in equity research, financial analysis, or a similar role within the financial services industry
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, including DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets from public sources such as SEC filings, earnings reports, and economic indicators
  • Familiarity with Indian and global capital markets, including regulatory environments like SEBI and SEC
  • CFA Level 1 certification or progress towards CFA designation

  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance or a related discipline
