Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft complex technology agreements, including SaaS, cloud computing, and outsourcing contracts for JP Morgan Chase's global operations
• Provide strategic legal advice on technology initiatives, ensuring compliance with financial services regulations and internal policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, procurement, and business units, to mitigate risks in technology transactions
• Conduct due diligence on vendors and partners, focusing on data security, privacy, and intellectual property protections
• Advise on regulatory matters related to fintech, cybersecurity, and digital transformation projects at JP Morgan Chase
• Develop and implement legal strategies for emerging technology areas like AI and blockchain in banking services
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution arising from technology contracts
• Mentor junior legal staff and contribute to the firm's technology legal playbook
• Stay abreast of industry trends and evolving laws to proactively address potential legal issues in global technology deals

Required Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• 8+ years of relevant legal experience in technology transactions, preferably in a financial services or corporate environment
• Proven track record in negotiating complex commercial agreements, including software licensing, cloud services, and data privacy contracts
• Deep understanding of financial regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and SEC rules impacting technology in banking
• Experience advising on intellectual property rights, cybersecurity, and vendor risk management in a global context
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess legal risks in high-stakes technology deals

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar
• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, and fintech innovations
• International legal experience, particularly in cross-border technology transactions
• Prior in-house counsel role in a technology or legal department of a Fortune 500 company
