Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy for JP Morgan Chase's Asset Management Operations, aligning with firm-wide digital transformation goals
• Lead the design and implementation of data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance across global operations
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders in Asset Management, Technology, and Risk to identify data needs and drive innovation in operational efficiency
• Oversee the integration of disparate data sources, including market data, portfolio analytics, and client reporting systems
• Champion the adoption of advanced analytics and AI to optimize asset management processes, such as trade reconciliation and performance attribution
• Manage a team of data professionals, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making within the operations group
• Monitor emerging regulatory requirements and industry trends to evolve data strategies proactively
• Partner with JP Morgan's technology teams to leverage cloud-based data platforms for scalable asset management solutions
• Measure and report on the impact of data initiatives through KPIs, ensuring alignment with business outcomes
• Drive cross-functional projects to enhance data interoperability between Asset Management and other JP Morgan lines of business

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in data strategy, management, or analytics within the financial services industry
• Proven leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams in asset management or operations
• Deep understanding of asset management operations, including data governance, regulatory compliance (e.g., SEC, GDPR), and risk management
• Experience with large-scale data platforms and integration in a global financial institution
• Strong knowledge of financial data standards, such as FIX, ISO 20022, and data lineage in investment operations
• Ability to drive strategic initiatives that align data capabilities with business objectives in a high-stakes environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MBA or PhD) in a quantitative field
• Prior experience at a tier-1 investment bank or asset management firm like JP Morgan Chase
• Certification in data management (e.g., CDMP) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics)
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML applications in financial data strategy
• Track record of implementing data transformation projects in asset management operations
