Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of critical data pipelines using HP NonStop platforms to ensure seamless data flow for JPMorgan Chase's financial operations
• Maintain and troubleshoot high-availability database architectures supporting transaction processing, risk management, and regulatory reporting
• Collaborate with agile teams to integrate NonStop systems with modern data engineering tools, enhancing scalability for global banking services
• Perform database tuning, backup/recovery procedures, and performance monitoring to minimize downtime in 24/7 financial environments
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations, including audit support for JPMorgan Chase's risk and control frameworks
• Mentor and guide junior data engineers on best practices for NonStop DBA tasks and agile development
• Analyze and resolve complex data issues impacting core banking applications, such as payments and securities processing
• Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies for legacy system modernization within JPMorgan Chase's technology roadmap
• Develop documentation and knowledge-sharing resources for NonStop data engineering practices
• Participate in on-call rotations to support mission-critical systems during off-hours

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in database administration, with at least 5 years focused on HP NonStop systems
• Proven expertise in designing and maintaining high-availability data pipelines in a financial services environment
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers
• Experience with data security and compliance standards such as GDPR, SOX, and PCI-DSS in banking
• Proficiency in SQL, Enscribe, and NonStop SQL for data management

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant technical field
• HP NonStop certification (e.g., Tandem NonStop Engineer)
• Experience with cloud migration strategies for legacy systems in financial institutions
• Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark integrated with NonStop environments
