Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of critical software solutions on HP NonStop platforms to support JPMorgan Chase's global financial operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to deliver high-availability applications that ensure seamless transaction processing and data integrity
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain best practices in fault-tolerant computing for financial services
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in real-time trading and payment systems running on NonStop environments
• Integrate NonStop systems with enterprise-wide architectures, including APIs and microservices for enhanced scalability
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal security standards in all software deliverables
• Optimize performance of legacy and modern applications to handle high-volume financial workloads
• Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement in team deliverables
• Document technical specifications and contribute to knowledge sharing within the engineering community at JPMorgan Chase

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on HP NonStop systems
• Proven experience leading agile teams in developing and maintaining mission-critical financial applications
• Strong knowledge of Tandem/HP NonStop architecture, including Pathway, Enscribe, and OSS tools
• Experience with high-availability systems and fault-tolerant computing in a financial services environment
• Proficiency in programming languages such as COBOL, TAL, or C++ for NonStop platforms
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for handling sensitive financial data

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with integration of HP NonStop systems with modern cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
• Prior work at a major financial institution, such as JPMorgan Chase or similar
• Certifications in HP NonStop engineering or agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master)
• Background in regulatory compliance for financial systems (e.g., SOX, PCI-DSS)
