Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-performance applications on HP NonStop platforms to support JPMorgan Chase's core banking and transaction processing systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and compliance experts to deliver scalable solutions that ensure 24/7 availability for global financial operations
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and adherence to financial industry best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for critical payment and settlement systems
• Drive innovation by integrating NonStop technologies with emerging tools like AI-driven analytics and cloud services to enhance risk assessment and fraud detection
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to align engineering efforts with business objectives in a fast-paced financial services context
• Ensure all developments comply with regulatory requirements and internal security protocols specific to JPMorgan Chase's global operations
• Analyze system performance metrics and optimize NonStop applications for efficiency in handling high-volume financial transactions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on HP NonStop platforms
• Proven expertise in developing and maintaining high-availability applications in financial services environments
• Strong understanding of Tandem/HP NonStop architecture, including Pathway, Enscribe, and OSS tools
• Experience with COBOL, TAL, or other NonStop-specific programming languages
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in delivering mission-critical projects
• Knowledge of financial regulations such as SOX, PCI-DSS, and data security standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with migration or modernization of legacy NonStop systems to cloud or hybrid environments
• Familiarity with Java, C++, or modern languages integrated with NonStop ecosystems
• Prior work in risk management, payments processing, or core banking systems at a major financial institution
• Certifications in HP NonStop engineering or financial IT security
