Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of technology risk and controls frameworks for IAM systems, ensuring alignment with JP Morgan Chase's enterprise risk management standards
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks in IAM processes, including access controls, authentication, and authorization mechanisms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and business units, to integrate risk management into technology initiatives
  • Conduct regular audits and testing of IAM controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Develop and maintain risk assessment methodologies tailored to the financial services landscape, focusing on emerging threats like cyber risks
  • Provide expert guidance on IAM best practices to senior leadership and drive continuous improvement in operational integrity
  • Monitor and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and control effectiveness, escalating issues as needed
  • Support incident response and remediation efforts related to IAM vulnerabilities
  • Foster a culture of risk awareness through training and communication within the Technology Risk & Services team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in technology risk management, controls, or compliance within the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in leading IAM (Identity and Access Management) initiatives and managing tech risks in a regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as SOX, GDPR, and Basel III, with experience in audit and compliance processes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-stakes, dynamic environments
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or equivalent in risk and information security
