Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Equity Technology team in India, overseeing the design, development, and deployment of trading platforms and risk management systems
• Drive strategic technology initiatives aligned with JP Morgan Chase's global equity business goals
• Collaborate with global stakeholders, including traders, quants, and compliance teams, to deliver innovative solutions
• Manage end-to-end program delivery using agile methodologies, ensuring on-time and within-budget execution
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team of engineers and analysts in Mumbai
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls for equity technology operations
• Identify and mitigate technology risks in high-volume trading environments
• Foster partnerships with vendor ecosystems to integrate third-party tools into JP Morgan's infrastructure
• Champion adoption of emerging technologies like AI and machine learning for equity analytics

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in technology leadership within the financial services industry, with a focus on equity trading systems
• Proven track record in managing large-scale technology programs in a global banking environment
• Deep understanding of equity markets, trading platforms, and regulatory requirements such as SEBI and MiFID
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in an agile delivery model
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices in high-frequency trading environments
• Ability to obtain necessary regulatory approvals for senior technology roles in India

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or advanced certification in financial technology (FinTech)
• Prior experience at a Tier-1 investment bank like JP Morgan Chase
• Hands-on experience with equity derivatives and algorithmic trading systems
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure in a financial context
• Leadership in digital transformation initiatives within capital markets

Required Skills

• Expertise in Java, Python, or C++ for developing low-latency trading applications
• Proficiency in equity trading protocols like FIX and market data feeds
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Knowledge of database systems such as Oracle or SQL Server in financial applications
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Analytical problem-solving in complex, high-stakes environments
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices for financial systems
• Agile and Scrum methodologies for program delivery
• Risk assessment and mitigation in capital markets technology
• Project management tools like Jira or Confluence
• Data analytics and visualization skills (e.g., Tableau)
• Adaptability to fast-paced, global team dynamics
• Strategic thinking for technology roadmapping
