Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure using Python, AWS, and Terraform to support web products for JP Morgan's financial services
• Collaborate with SRE teams to ensure high availability and reliability of on-premises and cloud-based systems handling sensitive financial data
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes to reduce manual efforts and improve efficiency in trading and banking operations
• Monitor and optimize cloud resources to control costs while maintaining performance for high-volume transaction processing
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in hybrid environments, ensuring minimal downtime for critical financial applications
• Implement security best practices and compliance measures aligned with financial regulations like GDPR and SOX
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Terraform for infrastructure changes in AWS environments
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for web services supporting global client portfolios
• Document infrastructure designs and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing within JP Morgan's engineering teams
• Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and contribute to innovation in JP Morgan's infrastructure strategy

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, VPC, and Lambda
• Strong knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) in multi-cloud environments
• Experience supporting web applications in hybrid on-premises and cloud setups
• Understanding of financial services regulations and data security best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with banking or trading platforms
• Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or Terraform
• Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and tools like Prometheus or Grafana
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Prior work at a large-scale financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
