Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain z/OS infrastructure solutions to support JP Morgan Chase's core banking applications
  • Collaborate with agile teams to deliver scalable and reliable mainframe environments for financial transactions
  • Perform system installations, upgrades, and migrations for z/OS systems ensuring minimal downtime
  • Monitor and optimize z/OS performance, troubleshooting issues in high-volume financial processing
  • Implement security best practices and compliance standards for mainframe systems in the financial sector
  • Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations and procedures
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for critical banking infrastructure

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in z/OS system programming or mainframe infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of IBM z/OS operating system, including installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Experience with mainframe utilities such as JCL, TSO/ISPF, and SMP/E
  • Familiarity with performance tuning and problem resolution in a z/OS environment
  • Ability to work in an agile team environment with a focus on delivering infrastructure solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in IBM z/OS or related mainframe technologies
  • Experience in financial services or high-availability environments like banking systems
  • Knowledge of z/OS security features such as RACF or ACF2
