Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure using Python, AWS, and Terraform to support JP Morgan Chase's financial applications
  • Automate deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning to ensure reliability and efficiency in trading and banking systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate infrastructure solutions with core banking platforms and risk management tools
  • Implement security best practices and compliance controls in cloud environments to protect sensitive financial data
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for critical financial services
  • Optimize AWS resources for cost-efficiency while maintaining high performance for global transaction processing

  • Monitor and analyze system performance, proactively identifying improvements for scalability in high-volume financial operations
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers on IaC principles and cloud architecture

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on cloud environments
  • Strong proficiency in Python for automation and scripting
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, and Lambda
  • Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) implementation
  • Experience in financial services or regulated industries, understanding compliance requirements like GDPR and SOX
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Terraform Associate
