About the Role

J.P. Morgan Private Bank is seeking an accomplished UHNW Banker Lead, Managing Director, to spearhead our China market initiatives from our Singapore hub. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage comprehensive client relationships for UHNW clients from the China market, providing tailored wealth management solutions including investment advisory, lending, and estate planning
• Develop and execute strategic growth plans to acquire and retain UHNW clients, targeting family offices and high-profile individuals in China
• Collaborate with J.P. Morgan's global teams to deliver integrated services across asset management, capital markets, and private banking
• Oversee portfolio construction and risk assessment, ensuring alignment with clients' financial goals and J.P. Morgan's risk standards
• Mentor and lead a team of bankers in Singapore, fostering a high-performance culture focused on client-centric service
• Navigate complex regulatory landscapes in Singapore, China, and cross-border jurisdictions to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
• Identify opportunities for innovative financial products, such as alternative investments and structured finance, tailored to Chinese UHNW preferences

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in private banking or wealth management, with a focus on ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients in the Asia-Pacific region
• Proven track record of managing client relationships and portfolios exceeding $500 million in assets under management
• Deep knowledge of the Chinese market, including regulatory environment, cultural nuances, and economic trends
• Relevant certifications such as CFA, CFP, or equivalent in wealth management
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English; additional languages like Cantonese a plus
• Experience in cross-border wealth structuring and international banking regulations
