Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive credit assessments and risk analyses for complex, cross-border portfolios, ensuring alignment with JP Morgan's risk appetite
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as investment banking, wealth management, and compliance to deliver integrated advisory services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key UHNW clients, family offices, and intermediaries in Hong Kong and mainland China
  • Structure innovative lending products, such as securities-based lending, margin loans, and acquisition finance, customized to client needs
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and economic developments in China to proactively advise on credit opportunities and risks
  • Prepare detailed credit proposals, presentations, and reports for senior management and client approvals
  • Ensure all lending activities comply with Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) regulations and JP Morgan's global standards
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the International Private Bank’s UHNW lending practice in Asia

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in private banking, credit advisory, or lending within the ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) segment, with a focus on the China market
  • Deep knowledge of international credit products, risk assessment, and regulatory frameworks in Hong Kong and mainland China
  • Proven track record of structuring complex credit solutions for UHNW clients, including cross-border financing
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English; Cantonese a plus
