Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of leveraged finance deals for Media & Communications clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including C-suite executives in the media and telecom sectors
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, including modeling leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and dividend financings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including syndication, risk management, and legal, to deliver comprehensive financing solutions
  • Prepare pitch books, credit memos, and marketing materials tailored to JP Morgan's Leveraged Finance platform
  • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes impacting the Media & Communications industry to advise clients proactively
  • Mentor junior bankers and contribute to team development within the New York Leveraged Finance group
  • Ensure compliance with internal JP Morgan policies and external regulations in all transactions
  • Participate in business development efforts to expand JP Morgan's market share in leveraged finance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in leveraged finance, investment banking, or related roles within the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in executing leveraged finance transactions, particularly in the Media & Communications sector
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and credit analysis
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses or equivalent FINRA registrations
  • Experience working in a high-pressure, client-facing environment at a bulge-bracket bank
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and deal execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience at a leading investment bank such as JP Morgan Chase or a peer firm in leveraged finance
  • Deep sector knowledge in Media & Communications, including digital media, telecommunications, and entertainment
