Key Responsibilities

  • Execute financial analysis and build complex models for M&A transactions in the CEE region
  • Conduct market research and due diligence on target companies and sectors across Central and Eastern Europe
  • Prepare pitch books, client presentations, and deal memos for senior management and clients
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and sector specialists, on transaction execution
  • Support senior bankers in client meetings, negotiations, and deal structuring
  • Monitor regional economic trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes in CEE markets
  • Assist in marketing J.P. Morgan's M&A services to new and existing clients in the region
  • Contribute to the development of sector-specific strategies for CEE-focused deals
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations in all advisory activities
  • Collaborate with global J.P. Morgan teams to leverage firm-wide resources for CEE transactions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field from a top-tier university
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, or corporate finance for Analyst level; 3-5 years for Associate level
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and M&A processes
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in at least one CEE language (e.g., Polish, Czech, Hungarian, or Russian) is highly desirable
  • Previous experience working in or with Central and Eastern European markets
  • Ability to obtain necessary regulatory approvals for working in the UK financial sector
  • MBA or CFA certification for Associate level candidates

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cross-border M&A transactions involving CEE countries
  • Knowledge of regional regulatory environments and geopolitical factors in CEE
  • Prior internship or full-time role at a bulge-bracket investment bank
